holo healing–counselling & wellness
reconnection to innate wholeness
Hi, I am Mandy
-
Mandy Karpoff, Counselling Student
-
I am a second year clinical counselling student
I have experience in addictions, mental health, working with youth, entrepreneurs and artists, and facilitating change by uncovering barriers directly with clients in a student clinic. With a rich, multidimensional background rooted in creativity, community care, holistic healing and a background in fitness, movement, and somatics, I bring a deep understanding of the mind-body connection. I offer a warm, empathetic, non-judgemental and culturally sensitive approach to therapy, with a deep commitment to holistic well-being and strong allyship with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
My practice is non-pathologizing, inclusive, empathetic, and committed to holding space for people from all walks of life. I aim to support others in reconnecting with their innate abundance, creativity, and wisdom. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, somatic, and client-centered approach that honours each person’s lived experience. I draw from a holistic spiritual lens, integrating movement, bodywork, and mindfulness to support clients in coming home to themselves.
As a neurodivergent artist, published author, single parent, and long-time mental health advocate, I am passionate about decolonizing the body, unlearning harmful systems, and removing barriers to healing. I have an entrepreneurial background as the founder and operator of an award-winning successful flower shop, where I led community outreach projects serving the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver.
I believe in lifelong learning, personal evolution, and cultivating ongoing self-awareness -- for both myself and those I work with.
I am a virtual student counsellor at Blackbird Counselling & Wellness.
holo healing
holo roots from the greek word holos, meaning whole or complete, reflecting the belief that true healing happens when we tend to the whole spectrum of who we are–mind, body, emotions, and spirit. holo healing is a space to explore your whole self, not just what hurts, but what is possible. holo healing is a journey of coming home to your self.
As I shift from flowers, I’m inviting you to stay connected. If you appreciated the beauty, intention, and heart in my floral work, I think you’ll love the new path I’m walking. Join my mailing list to receive reflections on healing, self-compassion, and finding wholeness — plus updates on my practice. I look forward to staying in touch!
